"City on A Hill - Sing Alleluia"

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14) “City on a Hill, Sing Alleluia” is a compilation of worship songs by various artists. Some of the contributors include Jennifer Knapp, Third Day, Caedmon’s Call, FFH, and Nichole Nordeman. The producer of the album says that he was pleased to put this project together and writes, “Surely, in so doing, our great God of infinite love is glorified.”

This is the second album with the “City on a Hill” title, the first one including such songs as “God of Wonders” and “With Every Breath.” The second, proving to be just as good as the first, includes songs of worship and praise, as well as songs encouraging us to be the salt and light to a world in need.” In “Shine Your Light,” Nichole Nordeman sings, “When you live in a city on a hill, you’ve got to shine your light.” Third Day and Fernando Ortega combine to sing “Our Great God.” “Eternal God, unchanging, mysterious and unknown. Your boundless love, unfailing, in grace and mercy shown.” The album begins and ends with the old hymn written by St. Francis of Assisi, “All Creatures of Our God and King.”

Your heart will be blessed and you will find yourself worshipping the Creator with these words, “Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son. And praise the Spirit, three in one. O praise Him, O praise Him. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!”
